Professional
communicators work in areas you would not immediately mention if you were asked
to name a couple. Social Media experts, motivational speakers, anchor men,
therapists, coaches and journalists would spring to mind. And how about
doctors, nurses, school teachers, employees in the department stores, trainers
in sports, flight attendants, managers, directors and so on. When you think of
it, communication takes part in almost every job you could name. Many
professionals are unconsciously also professional communicators. Whatever it is
they choose to make their careers in, should you ask them what they are really
good at, they would name a lot of skills
and requirements and probably forget to mention that they are good at
communicating. But they are very good at it for it is most likely, their
communication style has brought them to where they are today.

Unless they
feel out of zinc with colleagues or relationships with clients and suppliers
are proofing to be troublesome; then of course there are communication issues
at hand. Professionals who are confident that they possess the required
education and qualities to do their jobs, might believe that the encountered
troubles lay at the other end. They are probably unaware of the impact of their
communication style on others. So called blind spots that everybody else hears
or sees, but are reluctant to point out for the sake of friendship or for the
sake of avoiding conflict, undermine their relationships. Awarewness of the impact of communication helps convey blind spots.
Fortunately there is NLP communication training that enhances this awareness and offers techniques to develop in communication on a personal level.
If NLP (Neuro
Linguistic Programming) basic training in communication would be part of the
curriculum at schools, young students would benefit but they would benefit even
more in a later stadium in their professional lives. That is because NLP is based on five
presuppositions that any person might keep in mind when they work, learn or
play. The five principles that NLP works with form the fundament in all
situations where communication matters.

The
map is not the territory. Every human
being makes up their own map of the world and this map influences their
interpretation of words.

·
In
every behaviour lies a positive intention. People
make the best choices they have available at the time, sometimes choices are
not yet conscious.

·
Everybody
has got within what they need to thrive. Some
people are not aware of their qualities or they are but don’t yet know how to
use them.

·
There
is no failure, there is only feedback. People
can learn from mistakes and learn from their surroundings every day.

·
Body
and mind are relative. A happy mind
results in positive actions and vice versa.

Keeping
these basics in the back of your head during communication brings about
motivation, respect and aspiration. Besides
that, NLP techniques enable you to quickly notice patterns in language that
impact a person’s thinking. This information helps you approach the person in
the way that works best at that given moment in time. The techniques are simple
and easy to learn, however they cannot be learned by reading books on NLP. That
is because you need interactive communication and feedback to get the hang of
the techniques. Only then do you experience that they work differently with
different people and there isn’t a set of rules on how to apply the techniques.
NLP Business Practitioner training matters to professionals that aspire to make
the most of their professional lives and of that of others.

Have you noticed your dentist wearing a mask over their mouth and nose during the time they are busy with the inside of your mouth? The dentist that works with me usually has the mask dangling on one side of his face and that had me wonder about the use of it. I commented on it and the dentist carefully explained that some of his clients have bad breath. And the mask protects him from having any feelings about his clients that the smell might initiate. How thoughtful a reason for wearing the mask.

Other reasons for wearing such a mask happens in Asia. In Beijing the air seems to be so polluted that it promts many people to wear a similar mask while biking or walking the streets. Fair enough, although it may look rather repelling to others. I assume the Beijing people are used to the sight and are not repelled by the sight at all. We are lucky enough to inhale reasonably clean air in Europe, so no need for the odd looking masks.
I have been so very lucky to be indulging the very pure air in the Grand Canyon a couple of weeks ago. When walking on the paths in the Grand Canyon, the depth of the landscape made us feel so tiny that it felt liberating. And then we saw a small group of Asian people nearing us while wearing their mask. I pulled myself right out of this liberated feeling by thinking: “oh no look at that! They are so brain dead that they don’t even realize that the mask they wear does not apply here and that it does the contrary from what they want: inhale clean air”. These thoughts brought back the incomprehension I sometimes feel in life. And ready I was with my judgemental words about this group of people.

Only when I told the story in detail including my judgemental thoughts to my friend back in Amsterdam, was I ashamed of my own brain deadness. My friend informed me that Asian people also wear the mask when they have cought a cold and want to keep others from catching it too because of them!

After the shame, I immediately found my self again and realised that this was another perfect learning opportunity. Every time I see or hear anything that makes me judge behavior of others, the Asian group will pop up on screen in my mind to remind me of the fact that my experience is only limited. Even though I think I know so much and I teach others there is learning every day, the acquired knowledge will always be limited. Things are just not what they seem.

Ik hoorde eens van een zaken relatie: " I'll scratch your back, if you scratch mine" Helemaal goed.

Visueel:
Wat is je visie op? Hoe zie jij het? Heb je een beeld over het volgende?
Geluid: hoe zou jij zeggen dat ..? Kun je me vertellen wat..? Wat zeg je over..?
Gevoel:

Eén van de grote NLP teachers Sue Knight heeft de quote: "when you spot it , you got it" in haar training programma staan.

Do you some times feel that certain people don’t seem to understand you? Or that you find your self behaving in a way that does not help you at all in particular situations? Or may be you just need some motivation or reason for going to work every day? It could be a million different kind of feelings and a million different kind of habits in of all of us that are waiting to be stirred. That is because we all have our personal styles and we are so many on the planet.

Every day that we live, we bring our personalities with us everywhere we go. To work, to courses, to social gatherings, to family meetings and even to private places like meditation, yoga or the gym. Habits, conditions and ideas are part of our personality that make us do our jobs or behave in certain ways in all the different situations. Usually habits, conditions and ideas are unconsciously doing their thing, steering us in a way. NLP may be considered a tool kit filled with instruments to fine tune your conditions and ideas so that they work best for you..

Personal Development with YosaraNLP supports and improves your thinking style so that you consciously choose your habits, conditions and ideas. With Neuro Linguistic Programming techniques we adapt a thinking style that emerges through a direct and supporting communication style. Besides personal awareness of your thinking and communication you will also learn to recognize language patterns of other people. Once you are able recognize these language patterns and understand them you will understand other people on a deeper level. And we all know that in almost all businesses today, communication is key to staying in the game.

All in one sentence; YosaraNLP improves your interpersonal communication and relations in business and in private life, through integrating NLP thinking in your personal style.

Lately NLP training is rather negatively criticized by hypnotherapists on blogs and via posts on LinkedIn. This could make one wonder about the purpose of such critiques. One of the NLP presuppositions is that all behavior has got a positive intention for the one displaying such behavior.
Well, I suppose that wondering about the intentions of others could only lead to assumptions and that will certainly not serve any purpose. So what ever the purpose behind the critiques, they are clearly written by those who interpret NLP quite different from those who understand what NLP is about.
And that is exactly what NLP respects; the fact that we have all got our unique interpretation of our surrounding.
Understanding of the latter presupposition would most likely refrain these hypnotherapists from publishing their posts.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03261599628682679773noreply@blogger.comFrederik Hendrikbuurt, Frederik Hendrikbuurt52.37611 4.8733335tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-533128396467552331.post-38514323083799871072012-10-27T07:53:00.000-07:002012-10-27T11:42:56.917-07:00Perseverance

The famous book The Alchemist by Paolo Coelho had impressed me 18 years ago when I first read it.
One of the characteristics of the main character of the book that touched me, was the splendid simplicity of perseverance in detail. Effortless and with love for things whether lasting things or swift encounters, this character would give his attention to what he came across.
As I read the book only once and it does not wait to be read again between the other books on my shelves, there is no way I can accurately reproduce the content.
The interesting thing though, is that I always think of that character when I start new projects. Some how even almost 20 years after the impression of that splendid simplicity, the character appears as a boy in my head reminding me of the consequences of polishing details with love.
The consequences have been of personal happiness accompanied by a shining radiance of perseverance that has helped me achieve so many things in life.
Currently I have a former Magdalena Chapel in Amsterdam to my disposal from where I work with my clients and from where I train NLP. It is a spiritual and beautiful working space that deserves to be maintained with love and attention just the way the character in the book inspired me to do. Learning from others is called modeling in NLP which is also the basis of NLP. I guess that perseverance in this case put in my hands the lovely and very inspiring former Magdalena Chapel in the heart of the City. Grateful am I to the character, the writer and to the way that everything that you do, will sooner or later have it's consequence.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03261599628682679773noreply@blogger.comSpaarndammerstraat 454-470, 1013 Amsterdam, Nederland52.3886271 4.880022352.3789356 4.8602813000000005 52.3983186 4.8997633tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-533128396467552331.post-56215768623541578632012-10-07T08:47:00.001-07:002012-10-29T01:15:41.691-07:00Leadership

Leadership in business and in private life has got quite a meaning to it. To take the lead should first of all mean that you choose a direction and secondly that the chosen direction inspires others to move with you. That the chosen direction has a way forward in space time and seems logical and even desired. We call that development.
This might not always be the case though, some leaders direct a company or a group of people away from possible risk, danger, loss or anything else to be avoided.
These leaders have a tendency to keep things as they are, like most conservative parties have. The smartest people are members of these parties all over the world which might tell us that a large group of leaders have this avoiding tendency. People who move with these leaders move away from possible dangers.
When in personal life, unconsciously avoiding pain, conflict, danger etc. half of life's opportunities, possibilities and responsibility to be who you are will not see the light of day. Personal leadership means direct your self forward, take responsibility when life surprises you the way it will everybody. Find in your self the meaning of the surprise and the surprise will probably be less of a surprise. Then you might find ways to take steps forward or think in a different direction so that you feel you lead your life in stead of have others do that for you. That's personal leadership and most leaders in business already know that.
Difficult conversations have to take place sometimes in business and in private life in order to put things in place. Management, parenting and relating are typical contexts for delicate communication now and then.
When struggling during a difficult conversation to keep it smooth, yet direct and clear, the struggle might tell you that the person you are talking with has different thoughts on interaction. Direct and clear conversation might not at all be the aim the other person has got in mind, rather they aim to get out of the difficult conversation a certain state.
Aiming for the state of personal satisfaction of being in the right in stead of mutual understanding can blur reality with thick clouds. Clouds that will eventually disperse as that is the nature of clouds.
Knowing that clouds eventually disperse can help you while struggling, to stay as you are, to give all that you have got to give, because when the blur of being in the right has dispersed, your gift may allow for the other to learn and grow.
NLP knowledge helps you recognize the language patterns that are used by some aiming for righteousness in difficult conversation.
Usually when writing a blog inspiration comes first and is then followed by the intention to share with readers what inspired a person. This time I thought; lets just sit down behind the machine and wait for the blog to find it's way from my own brain to the screen without the influence of any experience.
The waiting took about 20 seconds and then I figured that NLP inspires my speech every day.
There just isn´t a day that goes by that I would not think about something that I might still want to do, somebody that catches my attention, a relationship that I evaluate, a job that needs thinking about and so on.
During all this thinking I am using language that I might express verbally but surely will express in behaviour. And both - expression and behavior - are based on my NLP thinking style. A thinking style that aims for clarity, integrity, connection, support, and learning from my surrounding almost every day.
Writing this blog just now taught me how inspiration and NLP are intertwined. Whether inspiration comes from a feeling, a thought, an experience that we hear, see, taste or smell it is always through our thinking style that the inspiration is elaborated and my thinking style happens to be an NLP thinking style.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03261599628682679773noreply@blogger.comDe Wittenstraat 117, 1052 Amsterdam, Nederland52.3822487 4.877249752.3798257 4.8723142 52.3846717 4.8821852tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-533128396467552331.post-13717727865710398202012-07-19T02:41:00.001-07:002012-07-19T07:17:35.784-07:00NLP and confidence

NLP can be described as a communication system or method.
NLP is also described as the study of the subjective experience of a person, by those who have finished the NLP Master program.
And then what ? What benefit would understanding the subjective experience of a person do you?
This understanding is sometimes misplaced as if we can find out about a persons' experience during conversation at work or privately.
A persons' way of communicating might show some of his or her experience, but that would only be the tip of the iceberg.
NLP is first of all about understanding your personal thinking style and exploring personal strategies, patterns, and ways to choose emotional states. When you master this, then your understanding of the subjective experience is just that, subjective and thus personal.
When you start living this NLP attitude, then you can influence positively, because then other people will see, hear and even feel that you are exactly the way you want to be. This kind of confidence attracts the unconscious minds of others to want to find out about this easy way of being in the world. Unconsciously we might all be looking for a way to be in this world.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03261599628682679773noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-533128396467552331.post-308762524686421202012-07-12T08:00:00.000-07:002012-07-13T05:10:45.901-07:00Visualisation

What you see is what you get, is a truth far deeper than most of us realize.

What we can visualize , we can do, if we cannot imagine our selves doing something, it means we can't do it.

On the other hand our unconscious has collected a treasure of images, and has a whole library of memories that are attached to images. Some of them have an undermining influence on real life. Patterns in behavior occur again and again. Therapy, spirituality, awareness, you name it, the pattern is stubbornly there and amazes you every time.
Through NLP and knowledge of psychological development we can have a good look at how our undermining images are trying to tell us what it is that we need in order to personally develop.

Influential language as a meaning of support can only benefit a person if the support is asked for.
Some times we instinctively give advise or share our opinions without even being asked, to try to help a person.
This attitude might stem from old school education.
When a person does come to you for support, you might still think of sharing your opinion or give advise.
According to a NLP thinking style, we influence the other more by helping them find their own answers, through asking the right questions.
Answers and possible solutions that come from within a person will have a lot more influence then any good advise or opinion from out side will.
Asking the right questions in the role as a manager , coach, friend or parent is one fine skill you will learn during your NLP Practitioner course with YosaraAnonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03261599628682679773noreply@blogger.comWesterpark, Nederland52.3897222 4.87552.3703412 4.835518 52.409103200000004 4.914482tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-533128396467552331.post-85971101675215262282012-07-04T06:12:00.001-07:002012-08-22T04:25:24.859-07:00NLP Course in Amsterdam

The title of this post is consciously chosen in order to maximize the volume of specific readers.
Many people understand that we present ourselves to the world almost every day in the way that we interact while at work, while shopping, or while just having conversations in general. We leave an impression of ourselves when we leave the building or the place where we were interacting. And if you might think of this impression as insignificantly minor or even ethereal, still you leave it there, so it will have resonance one way or the other.

Presenting in front of an audience implies a whole different attitude then presenting ourselves on a daily bases. When in front of an audience it is important that you leave a good impression, you make sure you are being heard and understood or seen in a certain way. But how different is it really? What kind of different attitude do you take on while presenting in front of an audience. Why would you not assume that attitude at all times?

To maximize the attention of your audience, the right choice of words influences just as much as your attitude. Your original personality as the carrier of your words, and the smart choice of words make up for an excellent presentation, rather than would a smart choice of personality and quotes from famous people in combination with common business phrases.
What is right choice of words? These are words that include everybody in the audience, words that allow your audience to receive your content in different ways. Adapt to the diversity of characters that any audience presents so that your presentation can be interpreted by all and impress all.
Spiritual writings or therapies often promote that what you give attention to, will grow, so if you do not want to be in trouble, shift your attention from that trouble to what you do want, and then that will be what you will get.
Some truth lays in that thinking style however I do not believe that troubles go away by trying to not think about them.
In my office in Amsterdam we actually give difficulties the required attention to place things in space and time so that we might find ways that enables personal or professional development.

Another way of giving attention is to just listen to a person, be there fully for the other person. This means that you make yourself be present in their world, and you witness their way of experiencing. To be present in somebody else’s world implies that you are not in your own. As far as I understand a person can be present at one place at the time.

To offer your presence or attention in this way requires the capacity to compartmentalize your own world, and with that your knowledge, experience, and history, so that you do not refer to that when you are hearing the other person’s words. Only then can this person experience your attention as a witness that directs them to self knowledge.
That kind of attention has got power to help a person find answers inside their self that have been there all the time.

Thoughts behind this wisdom is that we cannot know the other if we refer or compare what they tell us to our own knowledge.

The power of attention can work small miracles and large ones.
